Visa requirements are irregular. Some countries require visas while others do
not. Visas can generally be obtained at the airport customs area but sometimes
it is necessary to obtain a visa before departure. Outlander Expeditions will
inform you of visa requirements.
What form of money is recommended? (i.e. traveler’s checks, cash, credit cards)
Generally, a combination of traveler’s checks, cash and credit cards are
recommended. Traveler’s checks should be used for larger sums as they can be
replaced if stolen or lost. Cash is readily accepted and should be carried in
smaller bills for tipping and daily necessities. A credit card should be
included for emergency purposes.
Do you sell or provide or recommend items to include in a personal medical kit?
Many travel stores sell small travel kits with the necessary accessories. Or you
may want to consult with your doctor in order to determine what you should
include in your personal medical kit.
No cancellation fee is incurred if reservations are canceled 90 days or more
prior to the expedition. Fees for cancellation begin 60 days prior to departure.
How do I pay for my trip? What is the down payment? When is the balance due?
Outlander Expeditions accepts most forms of payment. Pay Pal is most widely
used. A 50% deposit per person is required at time of booking and final payment
due 90 days prior to departure, however there are exceptions depending on
booking dates.
How do I know if I’m physically capable of handling an itinerary listed as
“moderate to difficult”?
Trips listed in the moderate category generally are geared towards individuals
that lead active lives. The trips with a difficult or extreme rating are more
challenging.
What is the age group or age limit typical for each kind of expedition?
The only real limitation is your physical ability. At Outlander Expeditions we
try to coordinate groups taking into consideration age, interests and special
requests.
